South Atlantic Tour: 6 days of horse riding and 6 camping nights

 

Day 1:

Transport from Agadir Airport, a tour in the city includes lunch in the harbor, the local Souk and a Moroccan Hammam experience. Later on we move to Aglou beach which is famous for silverware after that it’s time to rest at the Hotel .

Day 2:

Breakfast in the campsite, transport to local stable to meet horses, saddle up and begin trek to the mountains – along the path we will pass small villages with cactus farms, lunch under Argan trees, transport on horseback up to the mountains to pitch the campsite, along the path, we will pass historic villages and beautiful rivers where we will feed the horses.

Day 3:

After breakfast we leave for the beach, lunch at the mountains then we will continue our ride to Legzira Beach known for its famous rock formations, horseback riding along the ocean, a night at Legzira with the beautiful landscape. Legzira is a Moroccan wild beach located in the town of Tioughza, recognized in 2014 by La Nouvelle Tribune magazine as one of the twelve most beautiful beaches in Morocco.

Day 4:

After breakfast comes beach time at Legzira , we can eat lunch in one of the restaurant by the ocean. They serve different kinds of tajine with octopus and fresh grilled fish (extra paid). After lunch we go by the ocean, we pass Sidi Ifni and the harbour then we will go up to the mountains for camping. Sidi Ifni located on the coast to the south of Agadir, until 1969 belonged to Spain. Hence the influences of Spanish culture seen here almost every step of the most important square -plaza España in its centre. The hills surrounding the city are overgrown with Argan trees. Camping in the mountains.

Day 5:

After breakfast we go through the mountains to the cliffs towards beautiful long beaches of Sidi Ourzeg. If there is a long tide we can canter at the beach , we will eat lunch near it, and then we will go along the ocean to the next camp place with a beautiful views, there it will be an opportunity to admire the beautiful sunset while drinking Moroccan mint tea.

Day 6:

It is a day at the ocean, we will reach the beach where the river flows, the beach on which we will eat lunch is covered with millions of pebbles brought by the river from the mountains. After lunch we will continue the coast to our last beach camp, the nature which is completely different to those visited earlier.

Day 7:

Last day of the trip, we leave the “black” beach towards the riverbed, to which we will go to Fort Bou Jref, where we will have lunch. The Fort is the ruins of a former garrison of French troops from the early twentieth century. Only ruins remain from the former fortress of the Foreign Legion, but it is still possible to read the purpose of many rooms. The place is isolated in the desert far away from civilisation, it was once the finish line of the Paris Dakar rally. In the surrounding hills you can see only the old watchtowers of legionnaires. We will end our trip in Targa Wassay oasis. Night at the Hotel.

Day 8:

Transport to Agadir airport after breakfast.
